Data Platform Solution Architect role

Every customer has applications that can’t go down and need a platform that they can depend on for availability, scalability and security.   As Data Platform Solutions Architect you’ll be front end center in our customer’s transformation to the Microsoft Data Platform. You’ll be at the forefront of interesting and strategic customer engagements from inception through design, execution and deployment, on-premises as well as in Azure. At the same role you’ll be playing an influential role in transforming Microsoft to a Mobile First, Cloud First Company.

The Data Platform Solution Architect (DP SA) role is a technical customer facing role that will be accountable for the end-to-end customer data platform design, architecture and deployment.

The breath of innovation in Microsoft’s Data Platform is expansive with relational offerings (SQL Server in the cloud and on-premises), comprehensive data movement and orchestration facilities (Azure Data Factory and SSIS), Big Data (Hadoop and Spark), Streaming (Azure Stream Analytics and Storm), rich visualizations and self-service BI (Power BI, R and Python), Advanced Analytics (Azure Machine Learning, Revolution R and Python) and IoT.

Cloud Solution Architect Role

As a Cloud Solution Architect, your primary responsibility with be to move customer workloads to Azure. The CSA is a technical customer facing role that will be accountable for the end-to-end customer cloud deployment experience.   You will own the Azure technical customer engagement including specific implementation projects and/or Proofs of Concept (POCs).

The ideal candidate will have experience in customer facing roles and had success leading technical and economic value discussions with senior customer executives that drive key decisions and implementation.   The success of this role depends on collaboration with generalists and specialists in the MSFT field and delivery teams (including partners, services, product engineering).
